Welcome to Routinic. By downloading, installing, or using Routinic, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not download or use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Routinic — including downloading it from the Google Play Store, installing it, or using any of its features — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the app on behalf of someone else or an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind them to these terms.

  • Create and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and one-time habits using custom settings or pre-built templates
  • Track habit completion, build streaks, and earn Awesome Days
  • View progress through bar-chart analytics, a monthly calendar heatmap, and per-habit statistics
  • Set up to three reminders per habit with exact-time alarms
  • Run timed habits using the built-in countdown timer
  • Break bad habits using the dedicated Quit Bad Habits category
  • Customise the app with Light, Dark, and Dark Blue themes

Features may be added, changed, or removed in future updates.

3. Free to Use & Advertisements

Routinic is free to download and use. To support ongoing development, the app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob.

Ad consent at first launch. When you first open Routinic, Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) will ask for your consent to personalised advertising. You may accept or decline. To change your choice later, go to your Android Google account settings under Ads & data, or reinstall the app.

  • By using Routinic, you agree that advertisements may be displayed within the app.
  • We aim to show ads in a non-intrusive manner that does not interfere with core features.
  • Ad content is determined by Google AdMob and is outside our direct control.
  • Routinic does not share your personal habit data with advertisers.

4. User Responsibilities

When using Routinic, you agree to:

  • Use the app only for lawful personal purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app or its source code
  • Not interfere with, disrupt, or bypass any feature or security measure of the app
  • Not use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
  • Maintain the security of your own device, including keeping your OS updated

5. Data & Privacy

Your habit data stays on your device. All habits, streaks, statistics, and settings are stored locally. We never upload, sell, or share your personal habit data.

Limited technical data is stored on Firebase servers. When you install the app, a small set of anonymous technical information (a randomly generated Installation ID, your FCM push notification token, device model, Android version, country, and app version) is stored securely on Google Firebase Firestore. This data is not linked to your identity and is used solely for push notifications and app stability.

  • Data loss risk: If you uninstall Routinic or clear app data, your local habit history is permanently deleted from your device. We cannot recover it.
  • No account required: Your use of Routinic is entirely local to your device. No registration is needed.
  • Backup recommended: Enable Android's device backup to protect against accidental local data loss.
  • Firebase services: We use Firebase Firestore (device installation data), Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports), and Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage data) to operate and improve the app. None of these services receive your personal habit data.
  • Server-side data deletion: You may request deletion of your Firebase installation record at any time by emailing routinic.app@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will complete deletion within 30 days.

For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Reminders & Notifications

Routinic uses Android's exact alarm system to deliver habit reminders at the times you configure. By setting reminders, you grant Routinic permission to schedule and deliver local notifications on your device.

  • Reminders are delivered locally and do not require an internet connection.
  • Disable reminders anytime in Android Settings → Apps → Routinic → Notifications.
  • Routinic reschedules your reminders automatically after your device restarts.
  • If reminders are unreliable, check that Routinic is not restricted by Android battery optimisation settings.

7. Intellectual Property

Routinic — including its name, logo, design, source code, user interface, habit templates, icons, and all original content — is the intellectual property of Routinic and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Routinic on your Android device for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Health Disclaimer

Not a medical device. Routinic is a personal productivity and habit tracking tool. It should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for health-related decisions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Routinic is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs
  • All reminders and alarms will fire at their intended times on all devices
  • The app will be compatible with all current or future Android versions
  • Data stored locally will not be lost due to device failure or OS updates

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Routinic and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the app
  • Missed reminders, lost habit data, or inaccurate statistics
  • Third-party content displayed through Google AdMob
  • Any changes, suspension, or discontinuation of the app

11. App Updates

We may release updates through the Google Play Store to add features, fix bugs, or comply with changes in Android or Play Store policies. We recommend keeping Routinic updated. Significant changes will be noted in the Play Store update description.

12. Termination

You may stop using Routinic at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling will permanently delete all locally stored habit data, preferences, and timer history from your device.

Note that your anonymous device installation record stored on Firebase Firestore (Installation ID, FCM token, device info) is not automatically deleted when you uninstall the app. To request deletion of this server-side record, email routinic.app@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will complete deletion within 30 days.

We reserve the right to discontinue Routinic or restrict access at any time, with or without notice.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Routinic after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Routinic shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the developer's country of residence, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
